Top 5 Mascaras I Can't Live Without

Over the years we all try different mascaras, some of us are looking for length, volume, curl. Whatever the reason may be mascara has been one of those products I've used since I was 12 years old. I have to have mascara or my makeup look isn't complete, I have tried so many mascaras from so many brands I've lost track. I have been both disappointed and pleased with different brands but these are the ones I know and love! These are the mascaras that I keep repurchasing over and over.

1. NYC Big Bold Ultra Volume Mascara- This mascara REALLY gives my lashes everything length, volume, just BAM! The brush is huge and looks a little intimidating at first. My lashes are basically non existent so I was like uh.... but after trying it the first few times I was in love and had no issues with it touching my skin. $5.00

2. Rimmel Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara- I have hears about mascaras with tiny fibers in them to help with length but I was skeptical so I saw this in walmart one day and decided I'd give it a try. I really love it and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I have never had such long lashes! $8.00

3. e.l.f Mineral Infused Mascara- This mascara has a thin brush and I use it for my bottom lashes. I have a lot of control because of the size and the formula is nice not too dry. $3.00

4. Loreal Voluminous Million Lashes Mascara- I had heard raves about this from youtube so I went out and bought it. The brush is very flexible and can reach those smaller lashes well. I usually pair this with number 2. $9.00

5. Loreal Voluminous Extra Volume Collagen Mascara- This is probably the best mascara I have ever tried. I love everything about it. It lasts a long time with no flaking and goes on smoothly. If I had to just list one mascara as my favorite this would be it! $8.00

What are some of your go to mascaras?

This is a new product from physicians formula, I picked it up from walmart about 2 weeks ago. Coastal Scents Revealed Palette

I finally got around to ordering the revealed palette. I was so excited, the shipping was so fast! It shipped the next day after ordering and only took 3 days to get here from Naples Florida to Northwest Arkansas! I also received a sample of the African black soap which I have been curious about. I noticed that they changed from their bumper sticker to a smaller clear square one.

The packaging is cardboard and is magnetic, it retails for $19.95 on You get 20 shades in this palette with a variety of colors and finishes. You have your mattes, your satins, your shimmers oh my! I cannot say if these are dupes because the only naked palette I own is the naked basics (the only high end product I own). I have seen many reviews and swatches that are dead on dupes for the naked 1 and 2. I was pretty impressed with this palette, the shades are pretty creamy and go on smoothly especially the mattes. They last as good as my naked basics eyeshadows with the e.l.f essential primer on underneath.
Coastal Scents says:  Expose your natural beauty with this exquisite collection of nude and metallic hues. These smooth, powdered shadows blend seamlessly to create an array of day or evening looks. The slim palette holds all twenty shadows, allowing for easy on-the-go application.

I do wish there were more mattes in this palette. I have been on a matte kick lately, it'd be so awesome if Coastal Scents came out with an all matte palette am I right? These swatches went on effortlessly, I only had to go over a few of them 2 or 3 times to build up the shade. I didn't use a primer under these swatches.

If you haven't ordered this palette it's a great palette to have! A cheaper alternative $20 vs $100 for 2 naked palettes. Now all we need is a dupe for naked 3!

NYX One Night In Morroco Palette

NYX One Night in Morroco is a smokey look palette with 8 matte/satin eyeshadow shades, 1 cream eye primer  and 4 lip colors. I love anything all matte so I had to try this out. The eyeshadows went on smoothly, the lip colors were pretty disappointing and were a bit sheer as you can see from the swatches. As far as the included primer it did not work well for me, keep in mind I do have oily lids but still this creased within an hour.

The packaging is a rectangular shaped black case with a snap shut lid, a nice full size mirror and a drawer that pulls out to reveal the lip colors. It's pretty sturdy and great for travel no doubt. This palette has been discontinued to the best of my knowledge but you can still find it on ebay.

e.l.f Baked Eyeshadow Palettes

I remember when these first came out on the e.l.f website, they were the craze! The e.l.f baked eyeshadow palettes come in 4 shades Texas, Seattle, California, and NYC. Each palette contains 10 baked eyeshadow colors and all shades are shimmer/glitter. These retail for $10.00 and the packaging is very great in my opinion, a very sturdy rectangle matte black snap shut case. I have swatched these wet and dry, sorry about the lighting in some of the swatch photos.

e.l.f says: Each Baked Palette features 10 gorgeous baked eyeshadows so you can achieve a flawless look whenever, wherever. The silky and blendable formula of our Baked Eyeshadow provides smooth and even application with each sweep of color. Baked in an oven, these eyeshadows offer rich pigmentation for a beautiful effect. Infused with active key ingredients Jojoba, Rose, Sunflower, Apricot and Grape to nourish and hydrate the skin. The long-lasting and shimmering color can be worn wet for a vibrant effect or dry for sheer pigmentation, offering a variety of gorgeous eye looks! Apply dry all over the eyelid with a brush for a subtle wash of color or apply wet for a vibrant effect. Choose a light color to apply all over the eyelid as a base or to highlight. Next, apply a medium shade over the eyelid or in the crease to contour. Then apply the darkest shade to define and line the eye for depth and a smoky look.

                                                       Texas- Brown/bronze shades

                                                     Seattle- Purple/smokey shades

                                                      California- Brown/gold shades

                                                        NYC- Grey/brown shades

When applied dry some of the shades can be sheer but a lot of them are still very pigmented and when applied wet they are so intense! Absolutely love these palettes! What are your thoughts on them?
