Prestige Cosmetics True To You Total Intensity Survey Winner!

A few weeks ago I received and email from Prestige Cosmetics inviting me to take their true to your survey on Facebook. It stated the first 500 people to complete the survey would win a prize! I took the survey and received a second email saying I was one of the lucky 500! I have never tried Prestige brand so I was excited to see what they were all about.
I received a small zip up makeup bag, an eyeshadow trio in Smoke & Mirrors, a Long Lasting pencil eyeliner in Deepest Black and a Beyond Lashes mascara in Jet Black.

First of all the eyeshadows are EXTREMELY pigmented! They are velvety smooth and even a little creamy to the touch. The eyeliner went on like butter but dried fast and lasted all day I had to literally scrub that swatch off my arm! So if you are looking for a waterproof eyeliner this one is a great option. The mascara has a unique shaped brush larger at the base and smaller at the end. This works well because your the lashes are set up this same way. I had no issues with flaking from this mascara. These products are available here and I have also seen them at my Ulta.

I will definitely be trying more from this brand in the future, have you tried anything from prestige? What are your thoughts?

Makeup Storage Pizzazz!

How do you store your makeup? I have been using the large 3 and 5 drawer sterilite units, check them out here. You can buy these at walmart or target, I get mine at walmart. The large 3 drawer costs about $17, the smaller 5 drawer costs about $9. The little 3 drawer costs about $6 and let me tell you these are a great cheaper alternative to some of the higher cost makeup storage. I just got tired of the plain jane white so I went and searched online and saw something on pinterest that gave me this idea. All you need is some spray paint, duck tape of your choice, and anything else you can think of to decorate your makeup storage.

You'll want to be outside using spray paint of course, I used a trash bag and 4 large rocks to hold it down. Spray the paint evenly and you may need to do two coats. Let dry outside for at least an hour or 2 before applying your second coat. For the drawers, cut a piece of your tape long enough to cover the front plus a little extra to wrap around the corners.
The spray paint turned out a little uneven on the tops of the units but I can't tell in regular light. I may end up adding more decoration to these. I thought bout doing some black bows or black gems on the drawers.

e.l.f Studio Blushes

Today I'll be reviewing the studio blushes from e.l.f. These retail for $3.00 each and come in 11 shades. The packaging is e.l.f's classic matte black case and contains a small mirror inside. These blushes are pretty pigmented and go on smoothly.

e.l.f says: The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow! Apply to the apples of the cheeks or any other area you wish to highlight.

The packaging is e.l.f's classic black matte snap shut case with a small mirror included. There is a clear window so you can see the color.

These have pretty decent pigmentation but a few are powdery. The down fall is only one shade, pink passion appears to be matte. All other shades have some amount of shimmer in them. Fushia fusion is VERY glittery but a beautiful hot pink.

These are inexpensive and have great pigmentation, if you're looking for a good blush give these a try!

Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Ooh La La Sexy Eyes Trio

The sexy eyes trio is a set of three eyeliners in a cute little pouch. The first thing I noticed about this set was the scent, warm vanilla OMG it's so intoxicating I LOVE anything scented vanilla and I am pretty sure the whole sexy booster line has the same scent. There is a felt tip marker, a retractable pencil eyeliner and a kohl kajal eyeliner. This trio costs around $13 depending on where you purchase it, again a sucker for cute packaging I bought it. I have been using the eye booster felt tip eyeliner for awhile and I love it so I thought the felt tip included in this set would be the same but it wasn't and came off very sheer even after multiple times of shaking it like it said to do. The retractable eyeliner is...ok just ok, it goes on kind of dry and I didn't develop a love for it at all. The kohl kajal is nice and creamy and is probably the best thing in the trio. The package claims up to 24 hours wear with these eyeliners...the felt tip does last throughout the day, the retractable eyeliner faded withing a few hours and the kohl as well. The case included is super cute but if you try to put the retractable eyeliner inside the pouch it won't close because the retractable eyeliner is too tall but the other 2 fit fine. I just store mine on the outside of the pouch and they all fit.

Physicians Formula Says: Complete eye kit includes three unique eyeliners to create the ultimate sexy eye. Infused with the scent of warm vanilla and pheromone-mimicking ingredients for eyes that are impossible to resist. Long wear formulas that provide up to 24 hour wear.

-Felt Tip Eyeliner: Bold cat eye definition on upper lid
-Kohl Kajal Eyeliner: Dramatic inner rim definition
-Eyeliner Pencil: Lower lash definition

Create a sexy eye:
1. Apply felt tip eyeliner to upper lid starting from the inner corner and extend to the outer corner to make a winged cat eye. Gently shake before use do not store pen tip side down.
2. Apply kohl kajal eyeliner in the upper and lower eye rim for dramatic definition.
3. Apply the eyeliner pencil on the lower lash line for softer definition.

-Paraben Free
-Gluten Free
-Deratologist Approved
-Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

In conclusion, this is a super cute trio but the quality just wasn't there for me. Please share your thoughts if you have this set.

Physicians Formula Sexy Booster Oh So Sexy Eyeshadow Quad-Sexy Eyes

I am bringing you another product from the physicians formula sexy booster line. This is the sexy booster eyeshadow quad and this product also has that same wonderful vanilla scent. The packaging is adorable and opens in the back to reveal a mirror and eyeshadow applicator. This quad contains 4 shimmery eyeshadow shades, beige, tan, dark brown and black. Each shade has a little frosty silver imprint. These do not go all the way through the shades it's just a small layer on top. These shades are pretty but they are sheer and need to be built up if you're going for a more dramatic look. The package claims 12 hour wear on these shades, even with primer I did not get 12 hours. Keep in mind I do have oily lids though so that could have had an impact.

Physicians Formula says: Sexy eyes 4 ways, the first shade to highlight, second shade for your lid, third shade for contour and fourth shade for lining.
The perfect palette to create the ultimate sexy eye look. Customize your sexy look with nude and smokey shades in bold shimmer to soft matte finishes.

Create a sexy eye:
1. Sweep shadow shade over lid as base
2. Blend contour shade into the crease of the upper eyelid
3. Apply liner shade to upper and lower lashline with pointed tip of applicator to line eyes.
4. Use highlighter shade to highlight browbone

Wet and dry application:
-Wet for intense color and ultra long lasting wear transforms darker shade into liner
-Dry for a softer result, ultra smooth and blendable powder lasts up to 12 hours.

Sexy boosting formula: Infused with the scent of warm vanilla and pheromone mimicking ingredients including clinically tested androstadienone, cocoa extract (a.k.a "the love chemical") and ancient aphrodisiac horny goatweed for irresistible illumination.

OK so the formula ingredients are....a little different no? Lol when I first read them I laughed and thought really?

-Paraben Free
-Gluten Free
-Dermatologist Approved
-Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

So I really think these shades are pretty and the scent is heavenly. Will you be picking this up?

e.l.f Mineral Eyeshadow

Hello Beauties! Today's blog post will be on the e.l.f mineral eyeshadows. I purchased all the shades awhile back when they were having a 50% off sale on their mineral line. Since then, some of the shades have been discontinued so some of the ones listed here won't be available anymore.

These are $3.00 each and there are now currently 24 shades, these are super pigmented a little goes a long way. I have been able to do a ton of different eye looks with these shadows. Six of these. enchanting, mysterious, partier, innocent, seductive and temptress say that they are matte but I noticed shimmer in at least 3 of those. The packaging is a simple plastic jar with a sifter and a black matte plastic screw on lid. I took off the sifters so you could see the shadow, they were SO hard to get off. I guess that's not a bad thing because it means you won't have eyeshadow spilling out everywhere.

e.l.f Says: Bring a touch of natural beauty to your eyes with these natural mineral eyeshadow shades that add subtle highlights for daytime or increased drama for night. With key vitamins A, B, C & E these eyeshadows hydrate and minimize the appearance of fine lines. Available in an array of light-reflecting color options they can be worn wet or dry, together or alone, for countless shimmering styles and trends. The all natural consistency makes them incredibly easy to apply and blend for a flawless finish. All our mineral makeup are mineral-based with no parabens, no preservatives and no chemical dyes.

These pack a lot of punch and I definitely recommend them! The pressed mineral eyeshadows have nothing pigment wise on these guys.
