Physician's Formula Shimmer Strips Eyeshadow-Nude Collection

First of all I have always been sold on Physicians Formula's packaging I mean how cute is it? I have many of these shimmer strips eyeshadow palettes and I love them. They can be sheer when applied dry but WOW when you apply them wet they look amazing! They retail for around $11 each and have 9 shades, the sizes of the shades range from small to large and like the title says they are all shimmer. The packaging is a silk and lace fabric with a plastic insert inside that holds the eyeshadows. The lid has a clear window so you can see inside the palette.

-Fragrance free
-Paraben free
-Gluten free
-Dermatologist approved
-Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

Physicians Formula says: Modern and versatile palettes for a new twist on classic nude shades. Wet and dry application for two finishes: Wet for dramatic, intense color with ultra long-lasting wear transforms shadow into a liner. Dry for a softer result.

    NYX Nude On Nude Palette

The Nude on Nude Palette is another great neutral palette! I have even heard there are some possible dupes for the naked palette! NYX has yet to disappoint me with any of their products especially eyeshadow. But this palettes shades tend to be pretty sheer. This palette retails for $25 and contains 20 eyeshadow shades of different textures, 10 lip colors mostly pink shades, a dual ended lip brush and a dual ended eyeshadow applicator. The packaging is a brown plastic case with little square windows on the lid and  a drawer that slides out at the bottom of the palette to reveal the lip colors.

NYX says: NYX Nude on Nude set is a classy medley of 20 neutral eye shadows and 10 vibrant lip colors that work for every skin tone and every occasion. This makeup palette comes with a mirror and 2 applicators for your lips and eyes, making it perfectly portable.

My final thoughts on this palette: Not a must have for me personally I like my Coastal Scents Revealed palette a lot better than this.

    e.l.f Pressed Mineral Eyeshadows

The e.l.f Mineral Pressed Eyeshadows come in 15 different shades and are $3.00 each. The packaging is a round plastic black snap shut with a clear lid. These can be very sheer but are very buildable when applied over a primer. All of the shades do have some amount of satin shimmer. Most of these shades are neutral which I love because I use neutral shades the most. The only complaint I have is I wish there were a few totally matte shades.

    e.l.f says:

Dupes for Urban Decay Naked Palettes 1,2,3 and Basics (Coastal Scents Revealed Palettes 1 & 2)

It seems like people are always searching for dupes of The Urban Decay Naked Palettes. I have watched many videos on YouTube and read many blogs on this myself. Although the basics is the only palette I own from Urban Decay and the only high end beauty product I own at this time...I decided I would share with you what I have learned from my research. The Coastal Scents Revealed Palettes have been raved about since they came out. The shades in them are either dead on or very close to most of the shades in the Naked Palettes. I have both of the Revealed palettes, you can check out swatches and my blog posts on them here and here. The dupes will be numbered in the order of the shadows in the Revealed Palette followed by either N1 (Naked 1), N2 (Naked 2), N3 (Naked 3) or NB (Naked Basics). Keep in mind there are a few shades that have no dupe and some are listed more than once because the shades were so similar. First let's start with the first Revealed Palette.
    1-Foxy-N2, Foxy-NB
    2-Booty Call-N2
    8-Half Baked-N1
    11-(no dupe)
    14-Dark Horse-N1
    20-Blackout-N2, Crave-NB
                                                 Coastal Scents Revealed 2 Palette
    2-Strange-N3, W.O.S-NB
    3-(no dupe)
    7-(no dupe)
    9-(no dupe)
    13-(no dupe)
    17-(no dupe)
    20-(no dupe)

So this is what I've been able to gather so far...if you own the Naked palettes and think there needs to be a correction made PLEASE comment below. If you know dupes for the shades missing above please let me know as well! Thanks for reading beauties!!! :)

    Ipsy Bag: July 2014

Yay! It's that time of the month know "ipsy time" :) This months theme is Sensationally Sunkissed. This is my second ipsy bag to receive and I am loving them so far. In this months bag I received:

-Healthy Sexy Hair Soy Renewal Beach Spray
    -Hang Ten Dark Tanning Oil
-Pop Beauty Sunkissed Bronzer in Secret Sunshine
-Pixi Tinted Brilliance Balm in Pretty Pink
-Bare Minerals 5 in 1 BB Advanced Performance Cream eyeshadow in Divine Wine

Also included a free shipping promo code for any bare minerals purchase at I'm really liking the makeup bag this month, it's hot pink with a leathery type texture. I'm guessing this is a bag designed by ipsy because that's all it says on the zipper.

I like the cream eyeshadow it's definitely one that's going to last all day and would also make a nice base. The bronzer is a little light for my taste and contains shimmer which I don't like. The lip tint is a nice light shade, I need to go over the swatch multiple times for the color to show up but that's because it's just a tint. The dark tanning oil I don't think I will get much use out of because I tan indoor but we will see. The healthy sexy hair beach spray is a different product for me but I will try it out and see how I feel about it. What did you get in your ipsy bag this month?

    e.l.f HD Lifting Concealer

Hello Beauties! Today's post will be on the e.l.f HD Lifting Concealers, I have 5 out of the 6 shades available. These are from the studio line and cost $3.00 each. The packaging is a nice clear acrylic type tube with a black lid that has a doe foot applicator. The consistency of these are liquid but not too thin and not too thick. They do cover nicely and that typical concealer or foundation scent. The shades I have are Fair, Light, Balancing (lavender), Brightening (yellow) and Tone Adjusting (green).

    e.l.f says:
This high definition, skin firming concealer hides imperfections and regenerates the skin for added radiance. Minimizes fine lines and helps even skin tone for a youthful look. The formula is infused with key ingredients Vitamin C, Green Tea and Mulberry for lifting and soothing benefits, and to help improve skin texture. Apply to areas the need coverage and the fine lines that need a little "lift". Blend into the skin with gentle pats for an even and natural look.
In my experience with these it is best to use your finger to blend this out especially under the eyes, a little goes a long way and if you apply to much it can look unnatural. Pat in on like you would eyelid primer. As for lasting power I'd say it was "ok" I got a good 4 hours out of it before I started noticing in fading.
